Private Tour of Andalusia

A Private Tour of Andalusia from Madrid allows you to explore southern Spain with a private vehicle, driver and a route designed around the number of available days, the cities you want to visit and your preferred travel pace.

Córdoba, Granada and Seville form the main axis of many circuits, while Ronda, Málaga, Cádiz, Jerez and the white villages can be added when more time is available.

The route can be arranged as a round-trip circuit, one-way tour, transfer with stops or multi-day journey, always with Madrid as the main departure point.

This route is part of Spain Tours from Madrid, our main page for private circuits around Spain. This page focuses specifically on Andalusia and how to explore it privately from Madrid.

Places to visit on a private tour of Andalusia

The itinerary depends on the number of days available. For a first route, Córdoba, Granada and Seville usually form the most balanced core. From there, additional stages can be added according to your interests.

Córdoba
Mosque-Cathedral and historic center.
Granada
Alhambra, Albaicín and Nasrid heritage.
Seville
Cathedral, Alcázar, Santa Cruz and Triana.
Ronda
Scenery, Puente Nuevo and the Serranía.
Málaga
Culture, city life and the Mediterranean.
Cádiz and Jerez
Atlantic coast, heritage and wine tradition.

Córdoba on a private tour of Andalusia

Córdoba works very well as the first major stage when entering Andalusia from Madrid. The Mosque-Cathedral and historic center concentrate much of the city’s cultural interest and make it possible to organize a complete visit before continuing to Granada or Seville.

If you would like to combine the two major monuments of Córdoba and Granada, see Private tour: Alhambra Granada and Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba.

Granada and the Alhambra

Granada is one of the essential stages of the circuit. The Alhambra is the main attraction, while the Albaicín and historic center add further context and variety to the visit.

Tickets to the Alhambra require advance planning and are subject to availability, so this stage should ideally be defined well in advance.

Granada can be combined with Córdoba and Seville or used as a connecting point toward Málaga and Ronda when the circuit includes more days.

Seville on a private route through Andalusia

Seville is a natural final destination for many routes from Madrid. The Cathedral, Giralda, Royal Alcázar, Santa Cruz and Triana offer a complete combination of heritage, historic neighborhoods and local life.

It can also be used as the final destination of a one-way service, avoiding the need to return to Madrid when the journey continues from Andalusia.

See Spain Tours Madrid to Seville, one of Madrid Lands’ main routes to Andalusia.

Ronda and the white villages

Ronda adds a different dimension to the circuit: dramatic landscapes, the Serranía, Puente Nuevo and a natural connection with routes through the white villages.

It is particularly interesting on circuits of six, seven or more days, when there is enough time to move beyond the Córdoba–Granada–Seville axis and discover a more scenic side of Andalusia.

The white villages can be included selectively, avoiding turning the day into a succession of overly brief stops.

Málaga, Cádiz and Jerez as extensions of the circuit

When more time is available, Málaga, Cádiz and Jerez make it possible to extend the route while preserving the Andalusian character of the journey.

Málaga brings Mediterranean atmosphere and culture; Cádiz, the Atlantic coast and a highly distinctive historic center; and Jerez, a strong tradition connected with wineries and local wines.

These stages work best as extensions of an already structured circuit rather than as simple detours added to a short route.

One-way tour from Madrid to Andalusia

The one-way format allows you to start in Madrid and finish the route in Andalusia, without having to return to the capital.

For example, the circuit can depart from Madrid, visit Córdoba and Granada and finish in Seville. It can also end in Málaga or another destination when the proposal is designed that way.

Andalusia with a private driver

The driver takes care of driving, transportation and route logistics. When cultural explanations or interpreted visits are required, guides can be added according to the proposal.

A driver and a guide are different services. A private driver should not automatically be understood as an official tour guide.

Cultural tour of Andalusia

Córdoba, Granada and Seville contain some of the major heritage complexes on the route, while other stages such as Úbeda or Ronda can broaden the historical and architectural perspective of Andalusia.

Gastronomy and wine as part of the route

Tapas, olive oil, ham, regional cuisine, fish and local products can be incorporated into the itinerary without shifting the main focus of the tour.

Jerez makes it possible to add a wine dimension connected with its wineries and local tradition, always with visits subject to reservation and availability.
