12-Day Spain Historic Cities Tour Itinerary
The route begins in Madrid, travels through Castile and Toledo, and continues to Cordoba, Granada and Ronda before finishing in Seville.
Day 1 · Arrival in Madrid · Welcome to Spain
Madrid · Start of the Spain Historic Cities Tour
Arrival in Madrid, meet-and-greet and private transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you will have time to rest and enjoy a first introduction to the historic center.
The day can end with an orientation walk through Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Habsburg Madrid, followed by a welcome dinner.
Day 2 · Monumental Madrid · Royal Palace and Heritage
Madrid · Monarchy, Art and the Evolution of the Capital
Spend the day exploring Madrid with a guided visit through the historic center and the Royal Palace area. The program will include one of the city’s major monumental or artistic visits, subject to confirmed schedules.
Afterwards, enjoy free time around Gran Via, Retiro Park, the Literary Quarter or Madrid’s major museums.
Day 3 · Madrid – Segovia · Aqueduct, Cathedral and Alcazar
Segovia · From Roman Heritage to Medieval Castile
Leave Madrid by private vehicle for Segovia. Begin at the Roman Aqueduct and continue along Calle Real, Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral before reaching the Alcazar.
Stay overnight in Segovia and enjoy the historic center after many day visitors have departed.
Day 4 · Segovia – Salamanca · University and Golden City

Continue to Salamanca. A guided visit takes in Plaza Mayor, the University, Casa de las Conchas and the cathedral complex.
The afternoon is more relaxed, with time to enjoy the golden-stone streets and university atmosphere before staying overnight in the city.
Day 5 · Salamanca – Avila – Toledo · Medieval Walls and Three Cultures

Leave Salamanca for Avila to explore its medieval walls, historic center and several places connected with Saint Teresa of Avila.
Continue to Toledo for a two-night stay. On arrival, enjoy a first introduction to the historic center and its panoramic viewpoints.
Day 6 · Toledo · Cathedral, Jewish Quarter and El Greco
Toledo · A Full Day in the City of Three Cultures
Spend the day in Toledo with a local guide. Visit the Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, Santo Tome and one of the historic synagogues to understand the city’s Christian, Jewish and Muslim heritage.
A second night in Toledo allows you to experience the historic center without turning the visit into a rushed day trip from Madrid.
Day 7 · Toledo – Castile-La Mancha – Cordoba
From Castile to Andalusia · A Change of Landscape and Historical Period
Leave Toledo and travel south through Castile-La Mancha. The journey can include a convenient or scenic stop before continuing to Cordoba.
On arrival, enjoy a first introduction to the Jewish Quarter, Roman Bridge and the area around the Mosque-Cathedral.
Day 8 · Cordoba – Granada · Mosque-Cathedral and the Nasrid Kingdom

The day focuses on the Alhambra and Generalife, one of the major monumental highlights of the journey. The visit will be arranged around the confirmed entry time for the Nasrid Palaces.
Afterwards, enjoy time to explore the Albaicin, Cathedral, Royal Chapel and the streets of Granada’s historic center.
Day 10 · Granada – Ronda · Puente Nuevo and Mountain Scenery
Ronda · Historic Scenery between Granada and Seville
Leave Granada and travel to Ronda. Explore Puente Nuevo, the dramatic gorge, panoramic viewpoints and the town’s historic streets.
The Ronda stay adds a more scenic stage to the trip and allows you to enjoy the town later in the day, when the atmosphere becomes quieter.
Day 11 · Ronda – Seville · Santa Cruz and Flamenco
Seville · Arrival in the Final Major City of the Tour
After a final look at Ronda, continue by private vehicle to Seville. On arrival, enjoy a first visit through Santa Cruz, the Cathedral area and the historic center.
The evening includes a flamenco experience in one of the cities most closely associated with this tradition.
Day 12 · Monumental Seville · Royal Alcazar, Cathedral and End of Tour
Seville · Grand Finale of the Spain Historic Cities Tour
Finish the tour with a guided visit to the Royal Alcazar, Cathedral and Giralda, completing a journey through different periods of Spanish history.
At the end of the visit, transfer to your hotel, Seville train station or airport according to the confirmed service. We can also arrange an extension to Cadiz, Malaga, Portugal, Madrid or Barcelona.
