Pulpí Geode Tour: what it is and how we organize it
A Pulpí Geode Tour is much more than simply arriving at Mina Rica to see the cavity. The experience begins inside the former mining complex of El Pilar de Jaravía, where visitors discover its history, the geological characteristics of the area and the minerals that form part of this remarkable underground environment.
During the guided visit, the route passes through different galleries and gradually descends to the lower levels of the mine. The official visit lasts approximately 120 minutes and reaches a depth of around 45 metres. At the level where the Giant Geode is located, visitors view its enormous gypsum crystals from the specially prepared access point.
Madrid Lands organizes the rest of the day around the confirmed Mina Rica time slot. When transport is included, we calculate the departure time to ensure sufficient margin before the visit. If you choose a day trip with additional stops, these experiences are arranged around the Geode visit so that it remains the main focus of the day.
