What we will see and do on our 2-day wine tour from Madrid

Day 1: Madrid – Ribera del Duero – Rueda – Salamanca

Morning departure from Madrid in a private vehicle to Ribera del Duero, one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions. The journey takes us through Castilian landscapes, vineyards, and historic villages steeped in winemaking tradition.

The first experience of the day will be a visit to a winery in Ribera del Duero. During the tour, we will learn about the winemaking process, the importance of the vineyard, the barrel rooms, and the aging of the red wines that have given international prestige to this appellation.

The visit will end with a guided tasting, ideal for discovering the nuances, aromas and characteristics of Ribera del Duero wines.

After the visit, we will enjoy lunch in the area, with the possibility of tasting Castilian cuisine, roast meats, seasonal products and traditional dishes that combine perfectly with local wines.

After lunch, we continue to Rueda, an area especially renowned for its white wines and the Verdejo variety. There, we will enjoy a Rueda wine tasting, a perfect experience to contrast the reds of Ribera del Duero with the freshness, aromatic character, and personality of the whites from this appellation.

After the tasting, transfer by private vehicle to Salamanca. Arrival at the hotel, accommodation, and free time to enjoy the city in the evening, stroll through its historic center, or dine in one of its traditional restaurants.

Day 2: Salamanca – Guijuelo – Ávila – Madrid

After breakfast, departure from Salamanca towards Guijuelo, one of the most important towns in Spain for the production of Iberian ham.

Upon arrival, we will visit a ham cellar or drying facility, where we will learn about the production, curing, and selection process of Iberian ham. During the visit, we will learn about the different categories, curing times, the importance of the local climate, and the factors that make Guijuelo ham so special.

The experience will end with a tasting of Iberian products, ideal for better understanding one of the most representative products of Spanish gastronomy.

After the visit, we’ll continue to Ávila, a walled city and one of the great historical gems of Castile and León. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy lunch in Ávila, with the option to sample traditional dishes such as local meats, Barco beans, or Castilian specialties.

After lunch, we will be able to take a short walk around the monumental surroundings of Ávila, admiring its impressive medieval wall and the historic atmosphere of the city.

In the afternoon, return to Madrid by private vehicle. Arrival expected in the afternoon and end of our services.
